Xan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ARIGA TCHAN. Otis Yates has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Xan gets tackled into the cage by Yates. Yates maintains the clinch.
Xan scores with an uppercut up the middle.

It looks like Otis Yates has been cut.
Yates lands a hook that snaps the head of Xan backwards.
Yates blocking some punches.
Yates blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Xan throws a punch but it's blocked by Yates.
Yates throws a head punch that misses.
Yates lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Xan.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Yates.
Yates tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Xan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Yates's elbow.
Xan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Xan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Yates uses from the top position.

Xan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yates's guard.
