Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leif Cassidy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cody Garbrandt!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garbrandt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cassidy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cassidy seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Garbrandt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cassidy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cassidy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Garbrandt shoots in but no luck this time.
Leif Cassidy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cody Garbrandt.
Cassidy looks to land a right hand but Garbrandt moved out of range.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Cassidy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garbrandt drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cassidy gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cassidy gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Cassidy lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Garbrandt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cassidy walks away with a smile on his face. Garbrandt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Cassidy scores with a jab. Garbrandt acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Garbrandt drives through with a takedown into Cassidy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Garbrandt keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cassidy's head.
Garbrandt is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cassidy has momentary wrist control but Garbrandt slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cassidy controls Garbrandt momentarily but Garbrandt frees himself.
Garbrandt tries to free his leg and advance position but Cassidy is retaining full guard.
Garbrandt with a flurry of punches that miss.

Garbrandt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cassidy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Garbrandt wants to control from the top but Cassidy keeps moving.
Garbrandt lands a couple of elbows.
Cassidy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Garbrandt drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Garbrandt as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Cassidy screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Garbrandt! Nice submission victory there!
