Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Hernan Ramirez Pena (ranked 5559 p4p, 24716 weight class) and Jon Hill (ranked 560 p4p, 732 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramirez Pena's waist but Ramirez Pena gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hill off to one side.
Hill tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ramirez Pena manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hill takes a kick to the side of the head.
Hill shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ramirez Pena defends it nicely.
Hill fails to land the takedown.
Jorge Hernan Ramirez Pena has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Hill.
Ramirez Pena misses with a head kick.
Hill tries to counter by closing the distance.

Ramirez Pena wants to take the fight to the mat but Hill manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Ramirez Pena looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hill wants a takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramirez Pena has Hill pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ramirez Pena pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hill tumbling to the mat - Ramirez Pena dives into Hill's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hill can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hill wants to control but Ramirez Pena passes easily into half guard.

Ramirez Pena has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hill defend it? Ramirez Pena steps over the head and cranks it - Hill is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ramirez Pena!
