PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rammsie Hartmann (ranked 3862 p4p, 6066 weight class) and Akello McGee (ranked 494 p4p, 665 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rammsie Hartmann has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rammsie Hartmann seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rammsie Hartmann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Akello McGee!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartmann swats away the attempt to clinch by McGee.
McGee dips to his left and cracks Hartmann with an uppercut!

Hartmann closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McGee did well to prevent Hartmann getting side control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hartmann connects with a nice short shot to McGee's temple.
Hartmann lands strikes from half guard.
Hartmann throwing shots but McGee is blocking nicely.
Hartmann really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McGee tries to get to full guard but Hartmann has control of the leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hartmann tries to pass to full mount but McGee defends it.
McGee has hold of Hartmann's hands but Hartmann slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
McGee is looking for a sweep. Hartmann is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hartmann drops an elbow to the side of McGee's head.
McGee is looking to improve his position.

McGee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hartmann is working away from the top position though.

McGee is looking to control Hartmann's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McGee avoid being mounted?
Hartmann is nestled in close to McGee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

McGee is rocked!
Hartmann lands a big elbow - McGee is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Hartmann!
