Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Kyshenko (ranked 5659 p4p, 24133 weight class) and Jinski Grang (ranked 607 p4p, 713 weight class). Grang has chosen JID - 151 Rum as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raul Kyshenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jinski Grang! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grang throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kyshenko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kyshenko dives in and grabs Grang's left leg, looking for a takedown. Grang pushes down on Kyshenko's head and hops out. Grang throws a right and a left that both miss. Grang feints a jab promting Kyshenko to slip. Grang then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kyshenko slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Kyshenko dives in for a single leg takedown but Grang sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Grang creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kyshenko wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raul Kyshenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kyshenko is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Grang pulls him back up using the underhooks. The referee is keeping an eye on Grang - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Grang lands a left hand.
A short uppercut from Grang. Grang lands a nice uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Grang lands an uppercut. Kyshenko has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Grang after a bit of a struggle. A quick uppercut on the inside from Grang. Kyshenko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Grang is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kyshenko lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Kyshenko is breathing heavily. Grang is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyshenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Grang keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grang is trying to stand.
Grang pushes Kyshenko off and gets back to his feet. Kyshenko slips a jab and a cross from Grang.
Grang throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kyshenko on the side of the head. Grang throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kyshenko misses with a takedown attempt letting Grang counter with a right hand. A momentary lapse in concentration from Grang enables Kyshenko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grang manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Grang is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kyshenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Grang is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Grang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kyshenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kyshenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grang.
Grang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grang throws a right hand that Kyshenko ducks under and follows up with a left that Kyshenko also avoids with ease. Kyshenko shoots in but Grang avoids the takedown attempt easily. Grang throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kyshenko shoots in for a takedown but Grang shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kyshenko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Grang throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Grang stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Grang wants it to stay on the feet. Grang misses with a series of wild punches.
Kyshenko is looking for a counter combo. Grang throws a shot from downtown. Kyshenko moves away and avoids it. Grang throws a series of punches but Kyshenko avoids them all with ease. Grang misses the jab. Grang with a body punch. A glancing blow. Grang connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Grang swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kyshenko looks for a takedown but Grang sprawls well. Grang thows a left - swing and a miss! Grang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kyshenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kyshenko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Grang throws out the jab. Kyshenko with a poor takedown enabling Grang to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kyshenko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Grang as he avoids it easily. Grang lands with a right hand. Kyshenko looking to score a takedown here. Grang is defending well but Kyshenko drives through and ends up in Grang's guard. Kyshenko wants to control from the top but Grang keeps moving. Grang wants to stand but Kyshenko is controlling the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jinski Grang dominated that round. That's time! Kyshenko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Grang throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Grang misses with a two punch combination.
Grang bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Grang throws a hook but Kyshenko avoids it easily. Kyshenko went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Kyshenko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Grang keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Grang throws a counter combo. Grang misses with the combination.
Grang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kyshenko manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kyshenko looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Grang! Grang is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grang tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Grang wants to get back to his feet. Kyshenko is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Grang has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kyshenko really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Grang. Grang wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kyshenko is looking for the choke from the back position but Grang is controlling his hands well. Kyshenko is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Grang with him. Grang is trying to defend but Kyshenko has an arm under the chin now! Grang grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Raul Kyshenko! A very excited looking Raul Kyshenko rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
