Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Baron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joaquim Mourao!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baron tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mourao swivels and escapes.
Mourao closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Baron to the mat! Baron manages to get full guard.
Mourao controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mourao drops back looking for a leg! Baron is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Baron manages to kick Mourao off! Mourao jumps back into Baron's guard.
Baron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mourao passes Baron's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baron trying to hold on to Mourao's head to control him but Mourao postures up.
Mourao is working for a submission of some sort.

Mourao looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baron with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mourao is trying for a kimura here. Baron looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Mourao wins by kimura!
