The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Frank dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Hooyao closes the distance and pushes Frank back into the cage.
Hooyao tries to pull guard but Frank forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Hooyao keeps control of Frank as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Frank scores with a shot to the side of Hooyao's head.
Frank wants to get back to striking at distance but Hooyao won't allow it.
Hooyao tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Frank just stands there and leans against the cage.
Frank lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Josiah Frank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Hooyao.
Frank misses with a punch on the inside.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hooyao tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Frank smiles and moves away.

Hooyao closes the distance and clinches.

Hooyao fails to pull guard.
Frank is trying to break the clinch but Hooyao has him pressed against the cage.

Hooyao ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hooyao no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Frank has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Hooyao is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Frank frees his head nicely. Oh but Hooyao has switched to an armbar! Frank is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
