Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Izanagi Machi (ranked 4989 p4p, 5977 weight class) and Joao Dos Santos (ranked 524 p4p, 578 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Izanagi Machi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joao Dos Santos! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ron Honeybunn and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dos Santos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dos Santos connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Machi's hands. Dos Santos looking to score a takedown here. Machi is defending well but Dos Santos drives through and ends up in Machi's guard. Machi uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Dos Santos throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Machi on the side of the head. Dos Santos scores with a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Machi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dos Santos counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Machi is rocked! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Machi. It seemed like Dos Santos was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Dos Santos has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Dos Santos dives in for a single leg takedown but Machi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Dos Santos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Machi. Machi has managed to clinch.

Machi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Izanagi Machi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dos Santos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Machi's guard. Dos Santos passes into half guard. Machi is staying active underneath Dos Santos, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Machi controlling the position for now. Dos Santos tries to stand and escape but Machi is controlling the position. Machi wants to control but Dos Santos is keeping busy.
Dos Santos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Machi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machi wants to get back to full guard. Machi regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dos Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Machi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Machi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dos Santos is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Machi. Machi tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dos Santos presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Dos Santos looking to control and managing it successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machi wants to control but Dos Santos is having none of it. Dos Santos controlling from mount. Dos Santos working away from the top, dropping strikes. Machi is in a horrible position here. Dos Santos smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Machi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Machi tries to lock up and control but Dos Santos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos wants to control the pace but Machi is squirming around nicely. Machi seems to have got his legs back now. Dos Santos controlling from the full mount. Dos Santos wants to control the pace but Machi is squirming around nicely. Machi is trying to escape the mount.
Dos Santos tries to control but Machi wriggling away. Dos Santos is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Joao Dos Santos dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Dos Santos misses with a wild combination.
Machi tries to counter by clinching up but Dos Santos breaks away and moves out of range. Dos Santos has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Machi doesn't manage to clinch there - Dos Santos circles away.
Machi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dos Santos, pushing him back against the cage. Machi is trying to pull guard but Dos Santos has him pressed against the cage. Machi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Machi fails in his attempt to clinch. Machi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dos Santos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Machi swivels and escapes. Machi throws a head kick that misses. Joao Dos Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dos Santos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machi somewhat. Dos Santos throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Machi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dos Santos is in Machi's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dos Santos working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Dos Santos wants to stand but Machi is controlling his posture from full guard. Machi wants to sweep here but Dos Santos controlling him for the moment. Machi is working an open guard so Dos Santos takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dos Santos sends Machi crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Dos Santos is motioning to the referee to let Machi up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Machi swings widly with a right hand
and Dos Santos shoots in for a double leg counter - driving through into a slam and Machi is out! The slam has knocked him out cold! Devastating for Machi but Dos Santos is celebrating as the crowd goes wild!
