PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Keith Yrkje (ranked 1046 p4p, 1982 weight class) and Vasili Lobchov (ranked 162 p4p, 283 weight class). Yrkje comes to the cage accompanied by As Good As I Once Was. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lobchov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Yrkje can pounce on him.
Yrkje throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lobchov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Yrkje misses the target.
Yrkje changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A left lands for Lobchov.
Yrkje uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lobchov.

Lobchov moves into the clinch.
Yrkje will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lobchov up against the cage.

Yrkje's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Yrkje swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lobchov with the counter takedown but Yrkje avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Toby Keith Yrkje has been cut.
Lobchov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A little jabbing left from Lobchov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lobchov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Oh Yrkje is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lobchov would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yrkje is looking for a sweep. Lobchov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Yrkje seems to have got his legs back now.

Lobchov is working for a submission of some sort.
Lobchov tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Yrkje.

Yrkje is looking to cinch up a triangle. Lobchov throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Yrkje's body to avoid the submission. Yrkje has instead reached around Lobchov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Yrkje arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
