Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maksud Magomedov (ranked 1301 p4p, 23897 weight class) and Kauko Johan Talo (ranked 147 p4p, 662 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Magomedov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lezginka - Kavkaz. Maksud Magomedov has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been informed that Talo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

It seemed like Talo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Magomedov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Talo can pounce on him.

Talo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Magomedov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
