The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spiegel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ziskie.
Ziskie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spiegel circles away.
Spiegel steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Ziskie.

Ziskie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Spiegel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Spiegel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ziskie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Spiegel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ziskie has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Spiegel tries to bench press Ziskie off him but Ziskie keeps the position.
Ziskie tries to advance to mount but Spiegel denies him.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Spiegel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ziskie has knee on belly and moves into mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ziskie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Spiegel can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ziskie is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Spiegel defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Ziskie has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Spiegel is in real trouble here. Ziskie gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Spiegel is tapping out! Ziskie wins by rear naked choke!

A relieved looking Mike Ziskie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
