Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Island Yonic!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yonic drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Brooks throws an overhand right that lands on Yonic's shoulder, as Yonic tries to avoid the shot.
Yonic with the counter takedown but Brooks avoids it easily.
Eric Brooks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brooks turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Brooks throws a hook to the side of Yonic's head but Yonic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Yonic with the counter takedown but Brooks avoids it easily.
Brooks scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Brooks swings widly with a right hand
and Yonic counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Brooks!
Yonic tries to advance to mount but can't.
Brooks can't do much from the bottom here.
Brooks takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yonic in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Yonic fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Brooks wants to get back to his feet.
Yonic goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Brooks has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yonic but great work by Brooks.
Yonic manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Brooks is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Gotham City Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Yonic trying to control from half guard but Brooks is working away.
Yonic is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Yonic is controlling the pace.
Yonic's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

It looks like Yonic might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Yonic is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brooks has managed to free his arm - good work.

Yonic is trying to control. Brooks wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Yonic is thwarting Brooks's attempts to control the position.
Yonic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Yonic is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brooks defends it well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Yonic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Yonic is stalling here. Brooks is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Yonic seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Brooks has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Yonic is looking to regain half guard here but Brooks keeps moving and retains side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yonic trying his best to control but Brooks has mounted him.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Island Yonic will probably get the nod.

Brooks throws out a leg kick but Yonic moves out of range and Brooks only half commits.
Yonic is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Brooks keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Brooks gets underhooks to prevent Yonic's takedown attempt.
Brooks throws a punch but it's blocked by Yonic.
Brooks cracks Yonic with a nice body shot.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Yonic.
Brooks throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Yonics head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brooks misses with the head strike.
Brooks lands an uppercut.
Brooks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yonic can do to turn this around?
Brooks lands with a light punch inside.
Brooks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A good leg kick by Brooks.

Brooks feints and then cracks Yonic's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Yonic down.
Yonic has his takedown stuffed
and Brooks counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Brooks lands with an overhand left.
Yonic looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Yonic is rocked!
Brooks drops Yonic with a straight right hand, right on the button! Brooks follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Brooks!
Eric Brooks decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
