Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hadr Bari!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paris moves into the clinch successfully.
Bari blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bari lands a nice shot to the body.
Bari takes a shot to the head.
Paris is looking for a takedown.
Bari tries a body shot but Paris blocks it.

Bari escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Paris misses with a lunging right hand
letting Bari counter with a right hand.
Paris gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Bari to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Marco Paris has been cut.

Paris shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bari napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bari can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bari felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Paris uses his free foot to push down on Bari's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bari.
We've been hearing that Paris has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Paris postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Bari bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Paris and the fight is over!
