Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chad Armstrong (ranked 2578 p4p, 24970 weight class) and Jones Verde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chad Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jones Verde !
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Armstrong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Armstrong just misses with a punch to the body.
Chad Armstrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Armstrong throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Verde stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Verde has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've been told by Armstrong's head coaches at Cozad MMA Montreal that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Verde fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A counter left hand to the body from Armstrong misses its target.
Armstrong moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Verde breaks the clinch.
Armstrong cracks Verde with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Verde tries for a takedown but Armstrong circles away easily
and Armstrong counters with a straight that turns Verde 's legs to rubber! Armstrong pushes forward with more strikes and Verde goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

In his post fight interview, Chad Armstrong started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
