Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zuillnic Canto!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries for a takedown but Canto circles away easily
and Canto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Johnson closes the distance but Canto moves to the side
and Canto counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Canto connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Canto throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Canto feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Johnsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Canto swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Canto slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Canto tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Canto in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Johnson is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Zuillnic Canto!
In his post fight interview, Zuillnic Canto gave a big smile as he said 'Suprise motherfu*kas, king is back.'.
