Thunder 's entrance music is Thunderstruck - AcDc. A fine choice. John Thunder has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Thunder !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Cortez!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cortez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Thunder to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Don Cortez has been cut.
Cortez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thunder .
Thunder appears to be looking for a big counter.
Cortez misses with the combination.
Cortez shoots for a double leg takedown but Thunder sprawls well. He's pushed Cortez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cortez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thunder sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
John Thunder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Cortez.
Cortez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thunder tries to avoid it but Cortez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thunder to the ground. Thunder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cortez misses with a wild body shot.
Thunder thuds his right hand into Cortez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cortez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Thunder connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Thunder feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Cortez collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
