Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chakree Somchai (ranked 940 p4p, 2147 weight class) and Marcos Agripa (ranked 105 p4p, 230 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chakree Somchai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcos Agripa!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Agripa shoots in for a takedown but Somchai shows good takedown defense.
Somchai lands a nice looking kick to the body. Agripa takes a step back to recover.
Agripa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Agripa goes for a double leg but Somchai avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Somchai continues to drive forward.

Agripa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Somchai is fending him off so far but Agripa persists. Nope, Somchai circles away and we're back to standing.
Chakree Somchai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Agripa moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Agripa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Somchai sprawls well. Somchai wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Agripa gets slowly back to his feet.

and Somchai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Somchai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Agripa is trying desperately to land a takedown but Somchai is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Agripa.

and Agripa counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Somchai!
Agripa remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Agripa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Somchai walks away with a smile on his face. Agripa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Somchai, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
