Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Archer (ranked 1149 p4p, 1305 weight class) and Stanislav Saprykin (ranked 168 p4p, 192 weight class). Archer comes to the cage accompanied by Wu Tang Clan - Method Man. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Archer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stanislav Saprykin!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer digs a good hook to Saprykin's body.
Stanislav Saprykin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saprykin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Archer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
No joy there for Saprykin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looked like Archer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Archer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Archer takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The fighters circling - Archer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Archer lands a nice hook to Saprykin's body. Saprykin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Archer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Saprykin thows a leg kick but Archer checks it
and Archer counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Saprykin misses with an uppercut
and Archer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Saprykin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Saprykin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Saprykin throws a shot from downtown. Archer moves away and avoids it.

Saprykin misses with a low kick as Archer jumps back.
Saprykin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Archer darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Archer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Saprykin connects with a looping right hand.
Archer takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Saprykin lands with a straight right. Archer didn't see that one coming.

and Archer counters with a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Archer throws a series of punches but Saprykin avoids them all with ease.
Archer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Saprykin circles away quickly and effectively.

and Archer counters with a left and a right that stings Saprykin.
Saprykin throws an overhand right that lands on Archer's shoulder, as Archer tries to avoid the shot.
Saprykin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A right-left combo lands from Saprykin.
Archer fails to land with a series of punches.
Archer does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Archer throws the left hand but Saprykin avoids the punch easily.
Archer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Saprykin moves away.
Archer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Saprykin.
Saprykin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Archer.
Saprykin stalks Archer and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Archer's face. Archer staggers backwards, shaken.

Saprykin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Archer.
Archer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Saprykin.

and Saprykin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Archer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Saprykin is still on wobbly legs! Can Archer finish him?
Archer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Saprykin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Archer moves in close and cracks Saprykin with a massive right hand! Saprykin, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Archer!
