Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Dylan (ranked 2509 p4p, 24025 weight class) and Akello McGee (ranked 345 p4p, 708 weight class). Dylan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Darci - On My Own. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dylan's jab looks to have found its range, popping McGee under the eye.
Dylan throws a looping overhand right but McGee ducks down to avoid it.
Dylan misses with a looping right.
McGee wants to clinch up but Dylan keeps it at a distance.
McGee is looking to clinch.
McGee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McGee tries to close the distance and clinch but Dylan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Dylan throws a lazy right hand but McGee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dylan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dylan was well out of range. Poor timing from McGee.

McGee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dylan throws out the jab.
McGee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dylan loads up on a big right hand but McGee slips the punch.

McGee gets a clinch.
Dylan is trying to break free.
Dylan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

McGee ducks under a wild hook from Dylan.

and McGee counters with a body kick.
McGee tries to close the distance and clinch but Dylan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dylan thinks about countering with a head kick.
Dylan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McGee moves in looking to clinch but Dylan pushes him off.
McGee cracks a nice hook into Dylan's ribs.
McGee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dylan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dylan scores with a hook to the body. McGee takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGee tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Dylan to counter with a crisp jab.
Dylan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dylan loads up on a big right hand but McGee slips the punch.
Dylan throws an overhand right that lands on McGee's shoulder, as McGee tries to avoid the shot.
McGee replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Dylan blocks it well.
McGee tries to clinch up.
Dylan swats away the attempt to clinch by McGee.
Dylan lands a glancing blow to the side of McGee's head.
McGee blocks a jab.
Despite the aggression on McGee's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Dylan lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens McGee up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Dylan from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw McGee's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nathan Dylan!
Nathan Dylan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
