Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Titus Lesnar (ranked 2239 p4p, 3349 weight class) and Boyd Fitzgerald (ranked 261 p4p, 378 weight class). Lesnar comes to the cage accompanied by Next Big Thing. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Titus Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boyd Fitzgerald! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fitzgerald pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Fitzgerald scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Fitzgerald throws a body kick that misses. Lesnar clinches up with Fitzgerald and pushes him back against the cage. Lesnar is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Lesnar controlling the action here for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lesnar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lesnar has a takedown stuffed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fitzgerald tries to land a front kick but Lesnar steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Lesnar misses with a takedown attempt - Fitzgerald sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lesnar wants to slow Fitzgerald down by chopping away at his legs. Fitzgerald misses with a kick to the body.
Lesnar attempts a counter takedown but Fitzgerald avoids it well and moves away. Lesnar takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fitzgerald lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lesnar. Fitzgerald does a little dance to reset his feet. Fitzgerald throws a counter combo. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Lesnar clinches up with Fitzgerald and pushes him back against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Lesnar leaning against his opponent.
Lesnar breaks from the clinch.
Lesnar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fitzgerald tries to avoid it but Lesnar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fitzgerald to the ground. Fitzgerald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fitzgerald throws a counter combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Titus Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fitzgerald goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lesnar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Fitzgerald throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Fitzgerald is trying to push Lesnar away but Lesnar has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lesnar breaks the clinch.
Fitzgerald looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lesnar has Fitzgerald up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Lesnar leaning against his opponent.
Fitzgerald tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lesnar's elbow. Fitzgerald working hard to break the clinch.

Lesnar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fitzgerald bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Fitzgerald lands a nice looking body kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. Lesnar manages to break the clinch.
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fitzgerald as he avoids it easily. Fitzgerald throws a counter combo. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fitzgerald throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Titus Lesnar has been cut. Lesnar has Fitzgerald up against the cage in a clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Boyd Fitzgerald will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Titus Lesnar's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Fitzgerald connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Lesnar throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Fitzgerald throws a low kick but Lesnar avoids it. Lesnar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Lesnar shoots in for a takedown but Fitzgerald shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fitzgerald misses with a body kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lesnar is defended easily by Fitzgerald.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar throws a shot from downtown. Fitzgerald moves away and avoids it. Boyd Fitzgerald is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lesnar pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Lesnar misses with a hook. Sloppy strikes from Fitzgerald. Those never looked like landing. Lesnar is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Lesnar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fitzgerald's guard. Lesnar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fitzgerald is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lesnar is controlling him. Fitzgerald looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lesnar is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Fitzgerald is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lesnar is standing up over Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald looks to escape but Lesnar dives into side control.
Lesnar in side control, just content to control the action for now. Lesnar tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar tries to score with some ground and pound. Fitzgerald controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Lesnar scores with a couple of short elbows. Fitzgerald tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fitzgerald is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Lesnar sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fitzgerald is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Lesnar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fitzgerald keeps working. Fitzgerald tries to improve position but can't. Lesnar working the ground and pound but Fitzgerald is defending the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is working Fitzgerald over with some ground and pound from side control. Lesnar working the head with strikes. Lesnar misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Fitzgerald avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lesnar. Lesnar landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Lesnar is chipping away with strikes.
Fitzgerald is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Lesnar moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fitzgerald taking punishment in the form of punches.
Lesnar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fitzgerald is not in a great position here, taking some shots. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Titus Lesnar dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Titus Lesnar's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Lesnar moves into the clinch. Lesnar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fitzgerald can do to turn this around? Lesnar has Fitzgerald pressed against the cage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lesnar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fitzgerald fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick misses from Fitzgerald. Lesnar feinted with a counter takedown. Fitzgerald with a nice calf kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Fitzgerald misses and Lesnar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fitzgerald won't be happy with that. Fitzgerald is looking to regain half guard here but Lesnar keeps moving and retains side control. Fitzgerald wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fitzgerald can do anything to dispel that myth. Lesnar landing a few strikes. Fitzgerald is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Fitzgerald wants to control but Lesnar postures up. Lesnar grinds an elbow into Fitzgerald's temple. Fitzgerald tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lesnar wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fitzgerald being controlled for a moment. Fitzgerald tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Lesnar presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Lesnar working Fitzgerald over with strikes here. Lesnar lands a big elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lesnar controlling the pace for now. Titus Lesnar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lesnar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Lesnar scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fitzgerald looks a forlorn figure.
Fitzgerald is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fitzgerald's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Lesnar unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Fitzgerald wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Lesnar celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Titus Lesnar! After the fight, Titus Lesnar was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
