Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 6983 p4p, 7104 weight class) and Poison Ivy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clifford Val Salvacion has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clifford Val Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Poison Ivy!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Ivy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salvacion.
Ivy shoots for a takedown but Salvacion saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ivy thuds his shin into the meat of Salvacion's side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Salvacion.

Ivy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ivy showed some decent athleticism there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Salvacion is trying to control but Ivy manages to pass to mount!
Salvacion tries to hold on but Ivy postures up.
Ivy looking to control and managing it successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like Ivy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ivy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Salvacion tries to hold on but Ivy pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ivy controlling from the full mount.
Salvacion can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Salvacion wants to control but Ivy is having none of it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ivy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Ivy's guard.
Salvacion wants to pass the guard but Ivy is keeping the position.
Ivy is pulling down on Salvacion's head. It's preventing any offense from Salvacion, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion stops Ivy from standing up.

Ivy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Salvacion controls the pace.
Ivy looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ivy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Salvacion is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Despite the aggression on Ivy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ivy shoots in and drives through. Salvacion sprawls well.
A quick step to the side and Salvacion tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ivy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salvacion defends it nicely.
Ivy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Salvacion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ivy circles away.
Ivy follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ivy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Salvacion was well out of range. Poor timing from Ivy.

Ivy gets a double leg takedown into Salvacion's guard.

Ivy wants to get up but he can't break Salvacion's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A close second round but Poison Ivy will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Salvacion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ivy defends well and Salvacion ends up having to push Ivy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ivy is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Ivy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ivy stands up and waves to Salvacion to follow him.
Salvacion stuffs the takedown attempt from Ivy. Ivy gets slowly back to his feet.
Salvacion thinks about countering with a body kick.
Salvacion fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Ivy shoots and misses
and Salvacion counters with a left to the body.
Salvacion shoots for a double leg takedown but Ivy sprawls well. He's pushed Salvacion's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clifford Val Salvacion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Salvacion stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salvacion wants it to stay on the feet.

Salvacion wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Poison Ivy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Salvacion closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Salvacion lands in his opponent's guard.

Ivy pushes Salvacion off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Poison Ivy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Ivy winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
