Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Jimenez (ranked 2497 p4p, 2369 weight class) and Minoari Amida (ranked 361 p4p, 339 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Minoari Amida was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Jimenez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Minoari Amida! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jimenez swings away with a body shot that misses
and Amida counters with a stiff right hand. Jimenez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Amida but Amida pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jimenez works Amida's body with a nice hook. Amida missing with a left hand there. Jimenez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jimenez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jimenez misses with a double jab
and Amida counters with a head kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good exchange - Amida coming out on top. Jimenez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Amida looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jimenez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Amida swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jimenez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Amida counters with a crisp right that sends Jimenez to the canvas! Amida follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Minoari Amida! A relieved looking Minoari Amida thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
