Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brett Shoenfeld (ranked 3819 p4p, 3756 weight class) and Pat Risher (ranked 186 p4p, 182 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brett Shoenfeld! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pat Risher! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shoenfeld swats away the attempt to clinch by Risher. Shoenfeld shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Risher is trying to defend but Shoenfeld finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Shoenfeld trying to pass the guard but Risher defending well. Risher looking for submissions off his back. Risher looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Shoenfeld frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shoenfeld wants to control the pace but Risher is squirming around nicely. Risher is in all sorts of trouble here.
Shoenfeld putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Shoenfeld tries to control but Risher wriggling away.

Risher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shoenfeld. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shoenfeld looking to break Risher's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Risher remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Shoenfeld will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Risher defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Shoenfeld's arms. Shoenfeld has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Shoenfeld sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Risher taps out!
