Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aster Ixtlan!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Oliveira thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Oliveira wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ixtlan keeps working.
Ixtlan is looking to reverse the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You can see the frustration on Ixtlan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ixtlan takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Ixtlan tries to buck Oliveira off but Oliveira is having none of it.

Oliveira has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Ixtlan is trying to control Oliveira's posture but Oliveira avoids it.
Oliveira advances to mount.
Oliveira is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ixtlan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Oliveira manages to capitalize on a mistake by Ixtlan to take his back!
Oliveira is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ixtlan is defending well though. Oliveira let's go of the attempt for now.
Ixtlan is really stuck here.

Oliveira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ixtlan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Oliveira has Ixtlan pulled in close to control his posture.
Oliveira has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Oliveira tries a head kick but it misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Ixtlan misses.

Oliveira rushes Ixtlan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Oliveira is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ixtlan is defending well.
Oliveira is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
We've been informed that Ixtlan has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Ixtlan counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Ixtlan counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Oliveira badly! Ixtlan follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Oliveira out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Ixtlan finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Aster Ixtlan!
