Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Warren Spade (ranked 2153 p4p, 2143 weight class) and Jake Silva (ranked 296 p4p, 294 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Warren Spade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Silva! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva moves into the clinch. Spade breaks from the clinch.
Silva lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Spade darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage. Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Spade leaning against his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Spade. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spade looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva pushes down on Spade's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva moves into full mount! Spade won't be happy about that! Spade is looking to improve his position but Silva isn't that keen on the idea. Silva avoids the attempt from Spade to control. Silva stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Silva wants to clinch up but Spade keeps it at a distance. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spade swats him away and circles back towards the center. Spade appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Silva dives in for a single leg takedown but Spade sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva throws a head kick that misses. Spade shoots in and gets a takedown into Silva's guard. Silva pushes Spade off and scrambles back to his feet.
Spade changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Spade manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spade goes for a double leg but Silva avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Silva continues to drive forward. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Spade pulls guard successfully.
Silva stays in close to Spade's body and controls the position. Spade wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Spade has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spade swivels though and keeps the full guard. Silva won't allow Spade to get back to his feet. Silva postures up in Spade's guard and throws a big left but Spade blocks it. Spade trying to keep a closed guard but Silva is proving a slippery customer.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Silva showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Spade clinches with his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Spade pushes Silva back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Silva looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Spade smiles and moves away.
Spade dives in for a single leg takedown but Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Warren Spade. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spade drags the fight down to the ground.
Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Spade is looking to reverse the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Silva dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Silva rushes Spade and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Spade jumps guard and drags Silva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Spade is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Silva controlling from the top position. Spade wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva wants to stand but Spade is controlling his posture from full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Silva's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva stands and throws Spade's legs to the side, diving into side control. Spade can't do much from the bottom here. Silva trying to control the position but Spade is working away. Jake Silva has got the better of the ground game so far. Silva lands a decent elbow from side control. Silva postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Silva has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Spade has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though. Spade on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Silva passes the guard and advances to mount! Silva with shots to the head and body - Spade looks very uncomfortable down there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Spade wants to hold on but Silva pushes him away. Silva wants to control the pace but Spade is squirming around nicely. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Silva keeps the fight on the outside. Spade tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Silva stuffs the takedown. Silva has Spade up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva tries to pull guard but Spade forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Silva has Spade pressed against the cage.

Spade trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Silva wants to sweep here but Spade controlling him for the moment. Spade would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Spade stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Spade!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Silva sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Silva looking for submissions off his back. Silva misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Spade is working for an americana but Silva has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Spade was thinking about the submission. Silva is pulling down on Spade's head to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spade avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Spade has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Silva looking for a guillotine here but Spade defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Spade controlling from the top position. Silva wants to sweep but no luck. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Warren Spade has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jake Silva is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
