Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Stephens (ranked 3820 p4p, 2682 weight class) and Ubaldo Cortez (ranked 537 p4p, 377 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Stephens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ubaldo Cortez! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stephens fails with the takedown and Cortez counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cortez scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Stephens takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A jab from Cortez does it's job there. Cortez lands a head shot. Stephens drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Stephens avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stephens tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cortez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stephens somewhat. Stephens tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cortez counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cortez moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Cortez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Stephens tries to clinch there but Cortez circles away.
Stephens looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Despite the aggression on Cortez's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Stephens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cortez sizes up Stephens with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Stephens on the wrong end of a nice hook. Crunch! Cortez slams his shin into Stephens's torso. Stephens wants to clinch and Cortez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stephens is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cortez stuffs the takedown attempt from Stephens. Stephens gets slowly back to his feet. As Stephens backs off Cortez throws a huge counter combo but Stephens manages to avoid it all. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stephens cracks Cortez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Stephens with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cortez to score with a decent uppercut. Oh Stephens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Stephens with a poor takedown and Cortez counters with a stiff right hand. Cortez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stephens's sensitive parts. Stephens misses with a double jab
and Cortez counters with a huge left! Stephens is in big trouble! He's backing up but Cortez isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Stephens from any more damage. A dominating finish by Cortez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ubaldo Cortez!
