Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Javier Graves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yeetr Sokolova!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graves lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sokolova at a distance.
Sokolova misses with the combination.
Graves moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Yeetr Sokolova has been cut.
Sokolova blocks a head kick by Graves.
Graves misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sokolova's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sokolova's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Sokolova swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Sokolova 's head but he takes it in his stride.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Graves tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sokolova swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Graves with a poor takedown

and Sokolova counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sokolova scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Sokolova working over Graves with some ground and pound. Graves looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sokolova takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Sokolova slips a nice elbow through Graves's hands, connecting with Graves's forehead.
Nice strikes from Sokolova there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sokolova working the head and body with strikes.
Sokolova is nestled in close to Graves, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sokolova has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sokolova looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sokolova lands a nice short elbow.
Graves on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Graves tries to get out of the position.
Nice strikes from Sokolova there.
Graves has hold of Sokolova's hands but Sokolova slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Graves taking some punishment here, with Sokolova in his half guard.
Graves is breathing heavily.
Sokolova controlling the position here and throwing strikes from the top. Nice elbow lands there... and another... and another... oh, Graves is out! Sokolova gets to his feet and admires his work - nice finish!
