Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simeoni Jukola!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simmons darts in and clinches Jukola up against the cage.
Jukola blocking some punches.
Jukola drops down looking for an ankle pick but Simmons pulls his leg out and moves away.
Simmons throws a head kick that Jukola semi-blocks.

It looks like Simeoni Jukola has been cut.
Simmons tries a head kick but it misses.
Jukola was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Simmons has Jukola up against the cage in a clinch.

Simmons escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Simmons connects with a leg kick.

A right hook to the body lands for Simmons.
Jukola manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jukola has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Jukola fails to land the takedown.
Jukola changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simmons tries to avoid it but Jukola manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simmons to the ground. Simmons escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jukola tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Simmons defends well and Jukola ends up having to push Simmons into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
