The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Thayer gets tackled into the ropes by Sepulveda. Sepulveda maintains the clinch.
Thayer pulls guard. Sepulveda sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Sepulveda drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sepulveda jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sepulveda looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sepulveda trying to control the position from guard on top but Thayer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Sepulveda slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sepulveda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thayer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sepulveda is looking for a triangle but Thayer pushes his legs off easily.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Thayer wants to control from the top but Sepulveda keeps moving.
Thayer is sitting in close to Sepulveda's body. Sepulveda has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Thayer is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Thayer is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Sepulveda.
