Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenny Lala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Viro Satar!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Satar feints and as Lala raises his hands in defense, Satar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lala controls Satar momentarily but Satar frees himself.
Satar is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Satar won't allow Lala to sweep him here.
Satar content to stall in guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Lala changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Satar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Satar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lala wants to stand but Satar has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Satar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Satar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

It looks like Satar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Lala is looking for a sweep. Satar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lala is trying to maintain the position but Satar is very close to passing his half guard.
Satar with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Satar passes to side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Satar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Satar is continuing to stall.
The adventures of Satar the control monster continue. Boring.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Satar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lala manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Satar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Satar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lala did well to prevent Satar getting side control.
Lala tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Satar manages to move to mount!

Lala is in all sorts of trouble here.

Lala might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Let's hope that Satar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Satar has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lala tries to hold on but Satar pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Satar is landing with some decent strikes but Lala is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Satar.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lala really wants to buck Satar off and get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Satar postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lala looks a forlorn figure.

Viro Satar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Satar shoots in and bounces Lala off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Lala looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Satar enables Lala to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Satar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Satar lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Lala has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Satar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Satar is working Lala over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lala had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Satar defends it easily.

Satar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lala's half guard.
Kenny Lala has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Viro Satar is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Satar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
