Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dan Klostik (ranked 5274 p4p, 5712 weight class) and Michael Ma (ranked 425 p4p, 444 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Klostik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Ma! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ma will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ma fails to land the takedown. Klostik misses with a body shot.
Ma is looking for the big counter here. Ma throws a series of punches but Klostik moves out of range. Ma clinches up against the cage. Klostik prevents a takedown attempt there.
Dan Klostik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Ma. Klostik has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ma avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ma escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Klostik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Klostik walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ma checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Ma wants to counter with a clinch but Klostik pushes him away. Ma closes the distance and clinches. Klostik appears to be looking for a big counter. Klostik throws a right hand that Ma ducks under and follows up with a left that Ma also avoids with ease. Klostik's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Klostik duly obliges. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ma gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Klostik counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A nice leg kick lands there from Ma. Klostik scores with a shot to the body.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Klostik. Ma moves in looking to clinch but Klostik pushes him off. Ma is trying hard to land a takedown here. Klostik sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Klostik wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Klostik's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ma under the eye. Klostik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Klostik throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Is there anything that Ma can do to turn this around? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice cross by Klostik. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ma has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ma and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Ma dodges the punch combination from Klostik.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ma throws a nice looking combination but Klostik bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dan Klostik. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Klostik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
