Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zdenko Babic (ranked 5075 p4p, 3826 weight class) and Deacon Dilbrandt (ranked 525 p4p, 422 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zdenko Babic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deacon Dilbrandt!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babic looks for a takedown but Dilbrandt sprawls well.
Babic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dilbrandt's waist but Dilbrandt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Babic off to one side.
Dilbrandt slaps away a takedown attempt from Babic, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dilbrandt tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zdenko Babic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dilbrandt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dilbrandt wants it to stay on the feet.
Zdenko Babic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Babic thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dilbrandt is looking to regain half guard here but Babic keeps moving and retains side control.
Dilbrandt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Babic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dilbrandt cracks Babic with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Babic shoots for a double leg takedown but Dilbrandt sprawls well. He's pushed Babic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Babic closes the distance and clinches up with Dilbrandt, looking for a takedown. Babic pushes Dilbrandt against the cage but Dilbrandt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Babic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dilbrandt tries to avoid it but Babic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dilbrandt to the ground. Dilbrandt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dilbrandt drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Babic defends it well.
Babic with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dilbrandt to score with a decent uppercut.

Good exchange - Dilbrandt coming out on top.
Babic is rocked!
Babic shoots in for a double leg but Dilbrandt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Oh Babic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Babic tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dilbrandt swivels and escapes.
Babic seems to have got his legs back now.
BOOM! Dilbrandt lands a beautiful left hook that drops Babic. Babic tries to recover but Dilbrandt is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Babic lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deacon Dilbrandt!
