Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xiao Tzu (ranked 2983 p4p, 2988 weight class) and Pedro Mcpotato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xiao Tzu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pedro Mcpotato! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tzu connects with a body shot that sends Mcpotato's belly button to the back. Tzu with a body punch. A glancing blow. Tzu misses with an attempted mid kick.
Xiao Tzu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Mcpotato misses. Mcpotato avoids the head kick by Tzu.
Jab from Tzu. The fight stays on the outside here - Mcpotato looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mcpotato tries to clinch up. Tzu was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Tzu bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mcpotato's head backwards. Mcpotato looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Mcpotato lands a big right hand that sends Tzu crashing to the mat! Mcpotato stays standing though and waves Tzu back to his feet!
Tzu is rocked!
It looks like Xiao Tzu has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A bone on bone clash there as Mcpotato blocks the leg kick.
Mcpotato is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Tzu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Tzu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mcpotato momentarily.
Tzu with a jab. Mcpotato wants to clinch up but Tzu keeps it at a distance. Mcpotato gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Tzu gets underhooks to prevent Mcpotato's takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcpotato successfully pulls guard.
Tzu stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tzu is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Tzu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mcpotato feints the counter takedown. Mcpotato takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mcpotato has Tzu up against the cage in a clinch.
Mcpotato lands a knee to the body.
Mcpotato is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Tzu is trying to break the clinch but Mcpotato has him pressed against the cage. Tzu fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Xiao Tzu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Mcpotato. Mcpotato lands an elbow that stopped Tzu in his tracks for a moment. Tzu fails to pull guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcpotato turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mcpotato manages to end up in side control. Tzu throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tzu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mcpotato. Tzu jabs at Mcpotato's body. Xiao Tzu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mcpotato throws a shot to the body.
Tzu scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mcpotato in his tracks. Mcpotato tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tzu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tzu connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. A cross from Tzu lands. Nice jab there from Tzu. Tzu keeps the fight on the outside. Tzu tries to land a front kick but Mcpotato steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Mcpotato changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Tzu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Tzu tries a head kick but it misses.
Mcpotato appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Mcpotato blocks a head kick by Tzu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcpotato closes the distance and clinches. Mcpotato prevents the takedown attempt.
Tzu is trying to pull guard but Mcpotato has him pressed against the cage. Tzu tries to break the clinch but Mcpotato is controlling the position. Mcpotato landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Tzu is breathing heavily. Mcpotato pulls guard. Mcpotato is looking for a triangle but Tzu pushes his legs off easily.
Tzu stopping the sweep attempt from Mcpotato. Mcpotato utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tzu wants to stand and escape but instead Mcpotato has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcpotato stopping the sweep attempt from Tzu. Tzu is looking for a triangle here but Mcpotato uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Tzu gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tzu wants to try and get back to his feet. Tzu can't escape the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Xiao Tzu will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Xiao Tzu's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Tzu connects with a crisp jab. Mcpotato wants to clinch. Mcpotato has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tzu finds it's way round the side to connect with Mcpotato's head. Tzu tests Mcpotato's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mcpotato on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tzu throws an overhand right that lands on Mcpotato's shoulder, as Mcpotato tries to avoid the shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tzu tries a head kick but it misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tzu. Mcpotato does a little dance to reset his feet. Mcpotato changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tzu tries to avoid it but Mcpotato manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tzu to the ground. Tzu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tzu throws a head kick but Mcpotato moves out of range.
Mcpotato throws a fast counter high kick but Tzu manages to duck under it in time. Mcpotato fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Tzu scores with a nice head shot.

Mcpotato checks a leg kick. Nice jab there from Tzu. A punch lands to the side of Mcpotato 's head but he takes it in his stride. A head kick misses from Tzu. A lazy left from Tzu finds it's target. Mcpotato moves out of range of the body kick from Tzu.
Mcpotato shoots in looking for a takedown but Tzu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mcpotato's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tzu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mcpotato momentarily.
Nice sprawl there from Tzu as Mcpotato shoots in. Xiao Tzu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Mcpotato. Mcpotato looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tzu, as that shot connected.
Mcpotato is looking to clinch. Good standup being displayed there by Tzu as he connects with a hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tzu throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Mcpotato tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Mcpotato takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mcpotato has his takedown stuffed and Tzu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nice shot lands for Tzu. Mcpotato pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Tzu connects with a single shot there. Mcpotato shoots in for a takedown but Tzu shows good takedown defense. Tzu lands a body shot.

Mcpotato on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tzu lands a nice hook to Mcpotato's body. Mcpotato takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Mcpotato walks into a jab. Mcpotato takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Mcpotato throws out a loose jab but Tzu uses good head movement to avoid it. Tzu lands with a good body shot. Tzu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mcpotato can do to turn this around? Tzu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mcpotato looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Pedro Mcpotato is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mcpotato gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mcpotato's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A big right from Tzu misses. Tzu throws a head kick that misses. Nice uppercut lands for Tzu. That snapped Mcpotato's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tzu scores with a hook to the body. Mcpotato takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tzu tests Mcpotato's chin there with a solid looking shot. Tzu scores with a jab to the head.
Mcpotato closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mcpotato successfully pulls guard.
Mcpotato manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tzu manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcpotato wants to control from the top but Tzu keeps moving. Tzu controls Mcpotato momentarily but Mcpotato frees himself. Mcpotato trying to control the position from guard on top but Tzu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xiao Tzu dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Xiao Tzu's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Mcpotato moves out of range as Tzu throws a body kick.
Tzu throws a sloppy head kick and Mcpotato moves out of range easily. Mcpotato takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tzu is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Tzu throws a low kick but Mcpotato avoids it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mcpotato is defended easily by Tzu. Mcpotato with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Tzu to counter with a crisp jab. Tzu keeps the fight on the outside. Tzu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Mcpotato has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Tzu leaves Mcpotato with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tzu looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Xiao Tzu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Mcpotato. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tzu lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Xiao Tzu is winning the standup battle so far. Mcpotato tries to clinch up. Tzu throws a counter high kick but Mcpotato was just alert enough to avoid it. Tzu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

A head kick misses from Tzu. Tzu lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mcpotato tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tzu defends well and Mcpotato ends up having to push Tzu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Tzu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Tzu moves away from the strike by Mcpotato. Tzu was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Tzu cracks a nice hook into Mcpotato's ribs. Mcpotato misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mcpotato takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tzu cracks Mcpotato with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Tzu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mcpotato on the side of the head. Mcpotato on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Tzu throws a sloppy head kick and Mcpotato holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Mcpotato keeps control of Tzu as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Tzu goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mcpotato prevents it.
Mcpotato turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Tzu tries to buck Mcpotato off but Mcpotato is having none of it. Mcpotato trying to control the action but Tzu is working from the bottom. Tzu tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tzu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Mcpotato is thwarting Tzu's attempts to control the position. Tzu won't allow Mcpotato to pass to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tzu is looking to get back to full guard here but Mcpotato has managed to pass to side control instead. Tzu tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Xiao Tzu showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tzu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
