Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Poseidon Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, William Kambwala!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters tries to clinch up but Kambwala circles away and keeps his distance.

Waters gets tackled into the cage by Kambwala. Kambwala maintains the clinch.
Waters is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kambwala is defending well.
Waters misses with a punch to the body.
Kambwala tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Kambwala.
Waters tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kambwala's elbow.
Kambwala blocks an elbow strike.
Waters tries a knee to the head but Kambwala blocks it.
Waters pushes off an throws an elbow but Kambwala leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Waters scores with a hook to the body.
Kambwala tries to break the clinch but Waters is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Waters can't get the takedown.
Waters goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Waters is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kambwala gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Waters using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kambwala has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Kambwala is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Kambwala wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Waters has him pressed against the cage.
Waters looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Waters has Kambwala pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Waters pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kambwala tumbling to the mat - Waters dives into Kambwala's guard.
Kambwala utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kambwala is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Waters will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kambwala wants to stand and escape but Waters is having none of it.
Kambwala utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Waters won't allow Kambwala to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Kambwala moves into the clinch.
Waters has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kambwala avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Waters misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kambwala.
Waters is trying to drag Kambwala to the mat but Kambwala just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Waters is breathing heavily.
Kambwala looking for a takedown.
Waters has a couple of punches blocked by Kambwala.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Waters has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kambwala after a bit of a struggle.
Waters throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Kambwala has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kambwala dodges an elbow strike from Waters.
Kambwala is trying to force a seperation but Waters has the dominant position.
Kambwala wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Waters has him pressed against the cage.
Waters tries to land knees in the clinch but Kambwala avoids the damage to the body.
Kambwala drops down looking for an ankle pick but Waters pulls his leg out and moves away.
Waters tries to clinch but Kambwala moves out of range.
Waters blocks the body kick.

Kambwala darts in and clinches Waters up against the cage.
Waters tries for a takedown. No joy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A bit of stalling here from Kambwala.
Waters wants to take the fight to the mat but Kambwala manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kambwala fails to pull the fight into his guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Poseidon Waters will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Waters.
Waters tries to throw a body punch but Kambwala avoids it by throwing Waters back against the cage.
Kambwala tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Waters's elbow.
Kambwala avoids the elbow strike from Waters, against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kambwala.

It looks like Poseidon Waters has been cut.
Waters drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kambwala pulls his leg out and moves away.
Waters tries for a takedown but Kambwala sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Kambwala as Waters shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Poseidon Waters. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Waters seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Kambwala shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Waters is backing up but Kambwala catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Waters covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Kambwala Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Kambwala!
