Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Omer Demirci (ranked 2720 p4p, 5765 weight class) and Matt Cosce (ranked 371 p4p, 677 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Omer Demirci! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Cosce! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Demirci. Cosce throws out a counter right but Demirci avoids it with no problem. Cosce pushes Demirci up against the cage in a clinch. Cosce misses with a punch to the body.
Demirci is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cosce can't fight it off and eventually Demirci manages to take the fight to the floor. Cosce looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Demirci passes Cosce's left leg - he's now in half guard. Cosce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Demirci. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cosce looks like he's trying to stand up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Demirci looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's one minute gone in the round. Demirci wants to control but Cosce is keeping him busy. Demirci is looking for a kimura but Cosce is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Demirci to get the leverage. Demirci seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Demirci stops Cosce from getting back to his feet.

Demirci is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cosce defends it well. Cosce is trying to stand back up but Demirci is controlling him

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Demirci keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Demirci is working for a kimura but Cosce is defending it quite comfortably.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Demirci is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Cosce is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
