Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akio Kurosaki (ranked 4064 p4p, 4146 weight class) and Stuart Burrows (ranked 195 p4p, 198 weight class). Akio Kurosaki could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Stuart Burrows's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akio Kurosaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stuart Burrows!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosaki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Burrows sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kurosaki goes for a double leg but Burrows avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Burrows continues to drive forward.
Burrows has a couple of punches blocked by Kurosaki.
Burrows swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Kurosaki gets control of Burrows's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kurosaki will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Kurosaki has control of Burrows's left arm, preventing Burrows from doing any damage.
Burrows trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kurosaki pulls Burrows in to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kurosaki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burrows thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kurosaki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Burrows has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Burrows throws an elbow but Kurosaki slips to the side and avoids it well.

Kurosaki tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kurosaki is working hard here to advance position.
Burrows trying to control the action but Kurosaki is working from the bottom.
Burrows looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kurosaki is avoiding damage well.

Burrows looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Burrows wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kurosaki keeps working.

Burrows tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Burrows has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kurosaki manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Burrows looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kurosaki is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Burrows works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kurosaki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Burrows tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Burrows has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kurosaki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kurosaki wants to pass the guard but Burrows is keeping the position.
Kurosaki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Burrows is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kurosaki is aware though and is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Burrows has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kurosaki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Burrows is looking for a triangle but Kurosaki pushes his legs off easily.

Burrows has his foot on Kurosaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kurosaki works his way back into a safe position though.
Kurosaki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burrows on the ground.

Burrows is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kurosaki is aware though and is defending well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Burrows looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kurosaki passes into side control.

Stuart Burrows dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Burrows misses with a wild body shot.
Kurosaki tries to close the distance and clinch but Burrows swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kurosaki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burrows circles away.

Kurosaki moves out of range as Burrows strikes.

Kurosaki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Burrows to the ground. Kurosaki is now in Burrows's guard.

Burrows looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Burrows is looking for a triangle but Kurosaki pushes his legs off easily.
Kurosaki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kurosaki won't allow Burrows to sweep him here.

Burrows has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kurosaki doesn't defend quickly enough and Burrows has managed to lock this one up! Can Kurosaki escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Burrows on a fantastic submission victory.
