Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bofur Widenose (ranked 2725 p4p, 4403 weight class) and Tran Quaach (ranked 373 p4p, 566 weight class). Bofur Widenose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bofur Widenose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tran Quaach! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quaach swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Widenose doesn't succeed with the takedown and Widenose takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Widenose gets a takedown into half guard. Widenose trying to pass the guard but Quaach defending well. Widenose throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Widenose seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Widenose is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Widenose takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Widenose seems to be working for a kimura but Quaach defends the submission attempt. Widenose is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Quaach has managed to free his arm - good work. Widenose sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Quaach defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Widenose throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Widenose is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Quaach has managed to free his arm - good work. Quaach felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Widenose is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Widenose passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Quaach! Widenose controlling from the full mount. Quaach is bucking up trying to escape but Widenose cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Poor strikes thrown by Widenose there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Quaach in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Widenose with good strikes from the mount here! Widenose misses with a head shot. Quaach wants to hold on but Widenose pushes him away. Widenose controlling from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Widenose looking to isolate an arm here. Quaach doesn't see it coming and as Widenose extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Widenose!
