Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bofur Widenose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tran Quaach!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaach swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Widenose doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Widenose takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Widenose gets a takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Widenose seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Quaach felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Widenose passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Quaach!

Quaach is bucking up trying to escape but Widenose cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Poor strikes thrown by Widenose there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
