Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Heinrich Von Slackenfuchs (ranked 6686 p4p, 25014 weight class) and Al Hoffa (ranked 747 p4p, 785 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Heinrich Von Slackenfuchs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Al Hoffa! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Von Slackenfuchs throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hoffa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Von Slackenfuchs quickly recovers to half guard. Von Slackenfuchs keeps control of the position for the meantime. Hoffa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hoffa trying to pass the guard but Von Slackenfuchs defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoffa slows the pace down in half guard. Von Slackenfuchs moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hoffa throws a body shot but no joy. Von Slackenfuchs looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hoffa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. You can see the frustration on Von Slackenfuchs's face as Hoffa controls the position. Von Slackenfuchs is not content to let Hoffa control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoffa slows the pace down. We've been informed that Hoffa has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Hoffa laying and praying for a moment but Von Slackenfuchs takes advantage and regains half guard. Hoffa has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Von Slackenfuchs tries to reverse the position but Hoffa maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hoffa is working for a guillotine from mount but Von Slackenfuchs frees his head quite easily.

Al Hoffa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Hoffa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hoffa is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Von Slackenfuchs rather than just go for the knockout.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hoffa is looking to pass into half guard but Von Slackenfuchs pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Von Slackenfuchs is in guard. Hoffa seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hoffa lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
