Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Axelrod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brett Keane!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keane throws a looping overhand right but Axelrod ducks down to avoid it.
Keane misses with a straight left.
Keane rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Axelrod makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Brett Keane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Axelrod takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jab, jab by Keane - just one landing.
The fighters circling - Keane throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Keane throws a poor cross that misses
and Axelrod counters with a stiff right hand.

It seemed like Keane was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Axelrod definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Keane bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Axelrod ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Keane might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Keane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Axelrod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Axelrod connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Keane connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Axelrod momentarily.

Axelrod slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Keane is rocked!
Axelrod cracks Keane on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Keane falls backwards against the cage. Axelrod follows up with more strikes that drop Keane to his knees. Axelrod keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Keane! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rico Axelrod!
