Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Nigal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daizu Mitsusada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nigal's entrance music is Cannibal Corpse - Death Walking Terror. A fine choice. Mitsusada has chosen A-Punk as his entrance music. Daizu Mitsusada acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Nigal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daizu Mitsusada! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nigal throws a wild body kick that Mitsusada sees coming a mile off. Nigal has a takedown stuffed. Mitsusada scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Jack Nigal has been cut. Mitsusada misses with a wild body shot. Nigal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mitsusada swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nigal gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Nigal has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mitsusada is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Nigal using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Nigal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nigal turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Nigal wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mitsusada, who protects the arm well. Nigal wants to take a breather but Mitsusada manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Nigal. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mitsusada working for a triangle but Nigal defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitsusada controlling the position. Mitsusada keeping moving, preventing Nigal from controlling successfully. Nigal will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nigal trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Mitsusada manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Mitsusada trying to control the position from guard on top but Nigal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nigal is striking from the bottom but Mitsusada uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Nigal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mitsusada on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nigal missing with punches from the bottom.
Mitsusada has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Nigal is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mitsusada controlling from mount. Mitsusada is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Nigal has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mitsusada lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Nigal hang on? Nigal is trying desperately to improve position. Mitsusada is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Nigal is surviving well by controlling Mitsusada's body position as best he can. Nigal is in all sorts of trouble here.
A nice elbow there by Mitsusada. Nigal sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mitsusada is looking for a kimura but Nigal is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mitsusada to get the leverage. Mitsusada looks gassed! Mitsusada throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Nigal wants to control but Mitsusada is keeping busy.
Nigal wants to stand back up but Mitsusada manages to pass into side control.
Mitsusada is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Nigal is trying to escape and Mitsusada transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Nigal is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mitsusada! Very nice indeed!
