Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Friedrichsen (ranked 657 p4p, 808 weight class) and Alexandros Stamatis (ranked 94 p4p, 110 weight class). Stamatis has chosen Sabaton - Sparta as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Stamatis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Friedrichsen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stamatis scrambles back to his feet.

Friedrichsen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stamatis.
Stamatis moves into range and connects with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stamatis pounces like a tiger and cracks Friedrichsen with a vicious hook! Friedrichsen is down but not out! Stamatis follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Alexandros Stamatis decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Erik Friedrichsen stepped up to the mic, saying 'I am young. This is merely a slight delay'.
