Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evil Dead (ranked 3164 p4p, 3315 weight class) and Yancy Makaki Iii (ranked 404 p4p, 424 weight class). Makaki Iii has chosen Fancy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Evil Dead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 38 - 26 - 1, fighting out of New York, Yancy Makaki Iii!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dead throws a body shot but no joy.
Dead misses with an uppercut.
Dead is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Dead looks to land a left hand but Makaki Iii moved out of range nicely.
Makaki Iii stuns Dead with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Dead throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Makaki Iii stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dead throws a right and a left that Makaki Iii avoids nicely.
Dead pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Makaki Iii throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Makaki Iii lands a leg kick that knocks Dead off balance momentarily.
Makaki Iii throws a leg kick that misses.
Dead closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Makaki Iii takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Yancy Makaki Iii has been cut.
Makaki Iii gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dead.
Dead throws a shot from downtown. Makaki Iii moves away and avoids it.
Dead scores with a punch to the head.
Makaki Iii throws a leg kick but Dead moved away.
Makaki Iii takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dead throws a head kick that misses.
Makaki Iii throws a low kick but Dead moves out of range easily.
Dead throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Makaki Iii's head.
Makaki Iii misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dead.
Makaki Iii takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Makaki Iii is rocked!
Makaki Iii gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Dead gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Evil Dead!
During a confident post fight interview, Evil Dead thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
