Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Vandecaveye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanders has chosen LL Cool J as his entrance music. Earl Sanders acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeffrey Vandecaveye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Earl Sanders! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vandecaveye shoots in but no luck this time. Sanders circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sanders clinches up against the cage. Vandecaveye tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sanders smiles and moves away.
Vandecaveye has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeffrey Vandecaveye. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanders will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vandecaveye fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sanders closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vandecaveye circles away. Vandecaveye misses with a takedown and Sanders counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Sanders moves nicely into side control. Sanders is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vandecaveye is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Vandecaveye struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanders fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Sanders tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanders has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sanders wants to stand but Vandecaveye is controlling his arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Sanders. Vandecaveye is looking to regain half guard here but Sanders keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanders tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanders has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Vandecaveye is trying to get back to half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Vandecaveye shoots and misses and Sanders decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vandecaveye's guard. Vandecaveye is breathing heavily. Sanders trying to control the position from guard on top but Vandecaveye is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sanders trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Vandecaveye keeping moving, preventing Sanders from controlling successfully. Sanders pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vandecaveye is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vandecaveye pulls Sanders in close to prevent any damage. Vandecaveye knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanders on the ground. Sanders preventing the sweep. Sanders working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Vandecaveye wants to stand and escape but Sanders is having none of it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A head kick by Vandecaveye misses and Sanders counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vandecaveye won't be happy with that. Sanders is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Vandecaveye has escaped the position, nice work there. Sanders sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Vandecaveye is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Vandecaveye parries the strikes from Sanders easily there. Sanders is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Vandecaveye to escape.
Vandecaveye is looking for a sweep. Sanders has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sanders gets to mount! Vandecaveye was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Sanders jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Vandecaveye manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vandecaveye gets back to half guard. Vandecaveye is holding on to half guard well. Vandecaveye is staying active underneath Sanders, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Vandecaveye is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanders's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanders's back! Sanders is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Sanders wants to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vandecaveye is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Vandecaveye stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanders swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sanders looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vandecaveye is one step ahead there. Sanders throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Sanders has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Vandecaveye is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sanders. Sanders is breathing heavily. Sanders shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vandecaveye as he avoids it easily. Jeffrey Vandecaveye has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earl Sanders. Vandecaveye changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sanders looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sanders is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Vandecaveye's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
