Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Justin Gaethje!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan loads up on a big right hand but Gaethje slips the punch.
Gaethje throws out a counter right but Morgan avoids it with no problem.
A clash of legs there as Gaethje blocks the low kick.
Morgan scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Justin Gaethje has been cut.
Morgan throws a body punch but Gaethje moves out of range.
Morgan dips to his left and cracks Gaethje with an uppercut!
Josh Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gaethje misses with a hook. Morgan ducked under it nicely.
Morgan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Morgan dives in and grabs Gaethje's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gaethje pushes down on Morgan's head and hops out.
Gaethje swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Morgan counter with a right hand.
Gaethje takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Morgan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gaethje counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Morgan throws a poor cross that misses
and Gaethje counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morgan lands with a hook. Gaethje tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gaethje takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gaethje staying out of range there.
Morgan thuds a left hand into Gaethje's body.
Morgan connects with a jab.
Nice jab there from Morgan.
Gaethje misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Morgan is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Morgan pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gaethje back to the cage. Morgan follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Gaethje is rocked!
Gaethje tries to get into range but Morgan steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Gaethje! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Morgan scores the big KO victory!
