Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Regan Vok (ranked 4086 p4p, 4746 weight class) and Ching Chong (ranked 438 p4p, 0 weight class). Regan Vok has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Regan Vok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ching Chong!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chong swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Vok has closed the distance and engaged Chong in a clinch.
Vok looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Vok tries to break the clinch but Chong is controlling the position.
Chong looking for a takedown.
Vok has had enough of the clinch but Chong keeps him there for the moment.
Vok is trying to push Chong away but Chong has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Chong misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vok.

Vok breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vok throws an off balance right hand

and Chong counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vok won't be happy with that.
Vok is letting Chong control him for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chong in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Chong in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Chong is working Vok over with some ground and pound from side control.
Chong is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chong throws a strike aimed at the side of Vok's head but Vok avoids it well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Chong tries to advance to mount but Vok denies him.
Vok knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chong on the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chong takes a little break here. Vok wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Regan Vok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vok throws a right hand that Chong ducks under and follows up with a left that Chong also avoids with ease.
Chong avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vok takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Chong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vok throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chong.
Chong changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Vok is breathing heavily.
Vok lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chong circles away quickly and effectively.

Chong scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chong throwing shots but Vok is blocking nicely.
Chong passes to side control.
Vok is being controlled here.
Vok really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vok prevents Chong from moving into mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ching Chong will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Chong scores with a takedown into Vok's guard.
Chong controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chong is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chong's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Chong works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chong in particular looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chong dodges the punch combination from Vok.
Vok fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chong goes for a double leg but Vok avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vok continues to drive forward.
Chong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Vok misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Vok misses with a double jab.
Vok keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Chong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vok was well out of range. Poor timing from Chong.
Vok throwing a counter right hand but Chong manages to avoid it.
Chong throws a body punch but Vok moves out of range.
Regan Vok is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vok takes a swing at Chong's ribcage but misses.

Chong closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vok did well to prevent Chong getting side control.
Chong content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

More stalling from Chong.
Chong tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vok knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Chong controlling the pace.
Chong is pressing down on Vok's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vok is holding on for now.
Chong keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chong is continuing to stall.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Chong moves nicely into side control.
A lull in the action here as Chong stalls from top position.
Let's hope that Chong has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The adventures of Chong the control monster continue. Boring.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ching Chong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Vok uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chong.
Vok wants to clinch up but Chong keeps it at a distance.
Chong feints the counter takedown.
Vok tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chong drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vok defends it well.
Chong throws a body shot but no joy.
Chong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vok moves away.

Vok gets tackled into the cage by Chong. Chong maintains the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Chong wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Chong has clasped his hands together around Vok's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chong throws a strike aimed at the side of Vok's head but Vok avoids it well.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Chong.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Chong takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Chong takes the fight into the clinch.

Chong lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Chong seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chong with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
Vok avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chong.
Chong moves into full mount! Vok won't be happy about that!
Chong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Yet more stalling tactics from Chong.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Regan Vok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Ching Chong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Chong winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
