Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Goncalo Cavalcante (ranked 3637 p4p, 1783 weight class) and James Kent (ranked 402 p4p, 223 weight class). Kent has chosen Humans are such easy prey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Goncalo Cavalcante! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Kent! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cavalcante blocks a jab. Cavalcante is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kent. Kent throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kent is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cavalcante. Kent misses with a right hand and Cavalcante counters with a takedown into side control. Cavalcante works to advance to full mount. Kent defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Cavalcante fails to move to back control. Cavalcante is working for a guillotine from mount but Kent frees his head quite easily.
Cavalcante wants to take his opponent's back but Kent doesn't allow it. Kent tries to hold on but Cavalcante pushes him away. Cavalcante moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kent has worked his arm free - good work by Kent!
Kent sneaks back into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kent is defending against the submission attempts here by Cavalcante.
Kent has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cavalcante is on him like a limpet, forcing Kent back against the cage. Kent lands a left hand.
Cavalcante has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kent is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cavalcante blocks the elbow strike.
Kent misses with a punch on the inside.
Kent goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kent scores with a shoulder strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cavalcante blocks the elbow strike.
Kent misses with a knee strike.
Cavalcante gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kent has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cavalcante is on him like a limpet, forcing Kent back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kent tries to throw a body punch but Cavalcante avoids it by throwing Kent back against the cage. Cavalcante tries to pull guard but Kent won't allow it.
Kent is struggling to control the position. Kent misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kent pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Kent misses with an elbow over the top. Cavalcante fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Goncalo Cavalcante. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kent lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Cavalcante pulls Kent into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cavalcante throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kent escapes and throws Cavalcante's legs to the side, diving into side control! Cavalcante is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kent off and has taken his back!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cavalcante tightening his grip on Kent, looking for the choke. Kent is keeping busy.
Kent manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cavalcante's guard. Nice work there by Kent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cavalcante is working hard here to advance position. Cavalcante isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kent stacks Cavalcante on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kent! Cavalcante manages to get back to half guard. Cavalcante trying to hold on to Kent's head to control him but Kent postures up.
Kent prevents Cavalcante from improving his position. Cavalcante is defending against the submission attempts here by Kent.
Cavalcante looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
James Kent dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Kent just misses with a punch to the body.
Kent throws a head kick but Cavalcante moves out of range.
Kent throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A low kick from Kent misses and Cavalcante counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kent! Cavalcante tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cavalcante has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cavalcante is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kent is trying to escape and Cavalcante transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kent is forced to tap! Nice work there by Cavalcante! Very nice indeed!
