The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Furuta is defended easily by Telheiras.
Furuta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Telheiras's waist but Telheiras gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Furuta off to one side.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Telheiras.
Furuta bucks up and tries to throw Telheiras off but instead Telheiras has got his back!
Telheiras is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Telheiras seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Furuta is taking damage to the body and head.
Telheiras lands shots from the back.
