Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ganny Kogir (ranked 3580 p4p, 3134 weight class) and Reilly Yates (ranked 458 p4p, 396 weight class). Reilly Yates has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ganny Kogir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Reilly Yates! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yates keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Yates is looking for the big counter here. Yates has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Reilly Yates has been cut. Yates misses with a two punch combination.
Yates misses with a straight right. Yates throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Kogir to counter with a crisp jab. Yates tries to bum rush Kogir with a series of wild strikes but Kogir uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kogir connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Yates fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kogir. Yates does a little dance to reset his feet. Oooooh!!! Kogir has knocked Yates down with a huge combo! Kogir steps away and waves a wobbly Yates back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Yates is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yates is looking to clinch. Yates drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Yates is still on wobbly legs! Can Kogir finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Kogir displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yates throws out the jab. Yates seems to have recovered his senses. Yates swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kogir counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Yates thinking. Kogir definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Jab from Kogir. Kogir misses with the combination.
Kogir fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Yates on the side of the head. Yates tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kogir sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yates somewhat. Kogir swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yates misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kogir counters with a straight right hand. A head kick misses from Yates. Kogir misses with a body shot.
Yates throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kogir swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Nice straight punches there by Kogir. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kogir. No joy there for Yates, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yates misses with a double jab
and Kogir cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Yates looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kogir is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yates. Yates thuds his right hand into Kogir's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Yates connects with a body shot that sends Kogir's belly button to the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kogir cracks Yates with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Yates throws a series of punches but Kogir moves out of range. Kogir avoids the body shot from Yates.
Yates is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kogir rather than just go for the knockout. Yates fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Yates throws a sloppy body shot
letting Kogir counter with a right hand. A jab from Kogir misses. Kogir lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kogir thows a left - swing and a miss! Kogir with a hook. Yates throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kogir counters with a straight right hand. Kogir feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Yates sprawling to the canvas! Yates rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kogir finish him?!
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kogir misses with a straight left. Yates replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kogir blocks it well. Kogir slips a jab and a cross from Yates.
Kogir comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Reilly Yates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kogir throws a hook but Yates blocks it. Yates fails to land with a series of punches.
Yates shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kogir counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Yates thinking. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yates misses with a few strikes there.
Yates displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kogir throws out the jab. Yates lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kogir circles away quickly and effectively. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ganny Kogir dominated that round. The cut man is working on Reilly Yates's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Kogir jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kogir is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yates can do to turn this around? Yates tried to score with a low kick but Kogir checks it. Yates misses with a two punch combination.
It looked like Kogir was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Yates. Yates fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kogir loads up on a big right hand but Yates slips the punch. Kogir throws a jab when Yates was well out of range. Kogir is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Nice shot lands for Kogir. Yates tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kogir was well out of range. Poor timing from Yates. A little feinted left hand from Kogir on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice body punch from Kogir. Yates misses with a two punch combination.

Yates is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kogir. Yates doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Yates misses with a shot to the body and Kogir counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Yates misses with a double jab
and Kogir counters with a stiff right hand.
That has opened up Reilly Yates's cut even more. Yates throws a body shot but no joy. Kogir appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Oooooh!!! Kogir has knocked Yates down with a huge combo! Kogir steps away and waves a wobbly Yates back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Reilly Yates is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yates throws a combination that misses and Kogir counters with a big right hand! Oh Yates is in trouble here! Kogir follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
