Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ron Johnson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Noel Diaz! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz clinches with his opponent.
Johnson breaks from the clinch.
A slow jab from Johnson misses its intended target. Diaz steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Johnson. Johnson misses the shot to the body. Johnson scoring well with a low kick there.

Diaz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Johnson drops his hands momentarily and Diaz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Johnson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. A low kick lands for Johnson.

Diaz throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease. Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Johnson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet. Johnson misses with a low kick as Diaz jumps back. Ron Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson throws a low kick but Diaz avoids it.

Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Diaz walks into a jab. We've been told by Johnson's head coaches at Walter J Abramowitz Center for Bigness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Johnson swings for the body but Diaz moves out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diaz moves out of range as Johnson strikes. Johnson scores with a jab. Diaz tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Diaz moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Johnson misses with a straight right. Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss. Diaz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Johnson. Diaz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Diaz tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target. Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Diaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Johnson is looking to score with low kicks. Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Noel Diaz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
