Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olenev Stepanovich (ranked 4867 p4p, 4970 weight class) and Brian Wood (ranked 506 p4p, 516 weight class). Stepanovich's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Swallowing Dust. Wood comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "The Batdance" by Prince kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Olenev Stepanovich has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Olenev Stepanovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Wood!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood with a lazy takedown attempt
and Stepanovich counters with a stiff right hand.
Wood gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Stepanovich gets underhooks to prevent Wood's takedown attempt.
Wood keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stepanovich's efforts to push away.
Stepanovich tries a body shot but Wood blocks it.
Stepanovich has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Wood breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Olenev Stepanovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Wood.
A jab from Stepanovich does it's job there.
Stepanovich throws a good cross that connects.
Wood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stepanovich avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wood takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Olenev Stepanovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wood shoots in for a takedown but Stepanovich shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wood fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Stepanovich lands with a cross.
Wood shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stepanovich sprawls well. Stepanovich wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wood gets slowly back to his feet.
Stepanovich swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Wood wants to clinch up but Stepanovich keeps it at a distance.
Wood on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Wood is rocked!
Stepanovich ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wood is still on wobbly legs! Can Stepanovich finish him?
Wood looks winded!
Stepanovich steps in with a hook that catches Wood right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Stepanovich follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Wood looks absolutely devastated.
